Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Brooks Jones #11 MLB at Middle Tennessee Christian. Brooks Jones was a monster Friday night, with 23 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. MTCS had their hands full stopping Friendship Christian's running attack - RB - Tyson Wolcott. Brooks Jones and MTCS defense held Friendship Christian under 160 yards rushing on the night. Brooks Jones is the 1st MLB to ever receive our MidState Checkdwon HS Football "Player of the Week" honors. It was crystal clear that Brooks Jones is the heart and soul of MTCS defense. His determination and grit are undeniable, he leads by example.

Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Braden Graham #12, quarterback for Riverdale High School. Braden Graham was electric on Friday night. The 1st offensive play of the game Braden launched a 72 yard bomb for a touchdown to Brock Montgomery #6. At the end of the 1st quarter Riverdale had a commanding lead over Rockvale, 21-0. Riverdale defeated Rockvale 41-6. Braden Graham finished the game on 14-15 passing, 325 yards and 4 touchdowns.

KJ was extremely efficent running the ball for East Nashville Magnet. 9 carries for 73 yards, with 3 touchdowns. Coming into the match up against Maplewood, KJ was averaging 159 yards rushing per game with 6 total touchdowns. East Nashville Magnet had a dominate performance over Maplewood 54-0. Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Kaedyn Marable, quarterback at (BGA) Battle Ground Academy. This match up against Nashville Christian was Kaedyn's 2nd career start at quarterback. Kaedyn showed great poise running the BGA balanced offense. He went 17-24 / 174  yards passing, with a 18 yard reception touchdown, 30 yards rushing. BGA's offense was extremely efficient, they went the entire game without a punt.
